"India in its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (submitted to the UN body on climate change as part of the Paris Agreement) has committed to create 2.5 billion tonnes of additional carbon sink. The (passing of the) Bill will be a great enabler", said Union environment minister Prakash Javadekar after passing of the Bill in Lok Sabha.
