Construction quality assurance must take into account following:

The client, in conjunction with main contractor, approve a subject-oriented assurance manual.

The diffrenent types of forms and documentation used for acceptance check, process control and final check must also be approved.

The main contractor will participate in a project examination meeting together with the client or his consultant. Quality assurance procedures will be defined and approved at this meeting

Procedures for quality assurance at the upstart of new works must be defined. Procedures for quality asurance about shift trade agreement also will be worked out.

The maincontractor works out a supervision plan for sub-contractors and for work in own production in correspondence with tender control plan.

Documents related to these and those related to handing over issues and ti use of sucontractors also will be defined

Sub-contractors quality assurance procedures, forms and other documentation must be approved in contracts or agreement forms

The optimal starting point for quality assurance is a well documented tender document that ensures a good degree of agreemnt on the following when contracting:

Project examination meetings (kick-off meetings)
The contractor's quality assurance manual
Adequate specifications of material quality and workmanship in the building component specification
Requirements for necessary preparations in connection with the execution of work
The contractor's own control plans (Tender control plan in the work specification)
Requirements for documentation of the contractor's delivery control plan, process control and final control.
Requirements concerning documentation for operation and maintenance,including operational manuals
An account of contractor's conditions with respect to trade supervision.
Handover, 1st and 2nd year inspection

Construction is the process that sets up a portable plant, bring material to the site, and on completion of the work moves the plant away, leaving its output standing

Output: all immobile structures (airports, buildings, dams, roads and tunnels, power plants, municipal treatment plants, pipelines …etc)

Project: A temporary effort undertaken to create a unique product or service.
